What wears a fence down
Sun dries out and grays wood. Wind pushes on long runs of fence, and storms can knock sections flat. Posts set in wet soil can rot at the base or shift, which is why a fence starts leaning before it falls.
Signs your fence needs work
Walk the fence line and look for:
- Posts that lean or move when you push on them.
- Loose, cracked, or missing pickets.
- Gates that sag, drag, or won’t latch.
- Sections damaged by wind or a fallen limb.
- Rot near the ground.
Repair or a new fence
If a few posts or pickets are the problem, we replace those. If the posts are failing all along the line, a new fence usually lasts longer than patching. We tell you which one makes sense for your yard.
Landlords: a solid fence and gate matter for tenants with kids or pets. We can take care of the fence when we’re already at the property for the roof or gutters.
